How much does Shopify theme customization cost?

Published estimates from agencies put theme customization at about $1,500 to $5,000. Those are market figures, not our prices, and a single small change can cost far less.

Can I do this in the theme editor myself?

Often, yes. Colors, fonts, section order and much of the page content are settings, so check there first. If what you want is not a setting, it needs code.

Can you customize any Shopify theme?

Generally yes, whether it came from the Theme Store, another marketplace or a past developer. Older themes built before Online Store 2.0 take more care, and we will tell you if moving to a newer theme is the better deal.

Can you change the checkout?

Checkout is not part of your theme. Changes there go through Shopify's checkout extensibility tools and settings, so we first check what your plan allows.
