Shopify Plus vs BigCommerce
Shopify Plus vs BigCommerce Enterprise: How to Choose
These are both hosted platforms, so the choice comes down to details such as how you run several storefronts, how you take payment and which apps you depend on. We build on Shopify and do not sell BigCommerce work, so treat this as an informed view from one side.

What Should Drive the Decision
Several Storefronts, One Back End
BigCommerce offers multi-storefront from one account. Plus gives you Markets in one store and 9 expansion stores, which are separate stores. If many sites must share one back end, test this closely.
Your Payment Provider
Without Shopify Payments, Plus adds a 0.2% third-party fee. If you are tied to another provider, include that cost, and ask BigCommerce how it treats your gateway in your quote.
The App and Developer Pool
Shopify has a very large app store and developer community, which affects how easily you can hire and replace tools. List the apps you need and check each one on both platforms.
