Shopify vs Shopify Plus
Shopify vs Shopify Plus: What You Get and When to Upgrade
Advanced costs $399 a month, or $299 paid yearly, and Plus starts from $2,300, so the upgrade has to earn its keep through features you will use. We build on Shopify whichever plan you are on, so we have no reason to push you up one if Advanced does the job.

What Should Drive the Decision
Fee Savings Rarely Decide It
On list prices, Plus costs about $1,900 more a month than Advanced billed monthly. The lower online card rate covers that at roughly $760,000 a month in online card sales, and the lower third-party fee at roughly $475,000 a month through another provider.
A Specific Feature Often Does
Custom apps with Functions, separate B2B and D2C checkout flows and expansion stores are the usual reasons. If you need one of those, the fee math matters less.
Growing Teams Hit Limits
Advanced has 15 staff accounts, and Plus has unlimited accounts with custom user groups. For a growing operations team, that may matter more than anything on the storefront.
