Buyer's Guide

How to Choose the Right Odoo Partner

The right firm matters more than the software. Here is how to judge any Odoo provider, including us. We are not in Odoo's partner program, and we will explain what that does and does not mean.

  • What partner tiers measure
  • How to verify any claim
  • Questions that expose weak providers

What to Look Past

Tier is not fit

Odoo's Gold, Silver and Ready tiers are tied largely to the Enterprise subscriptions a firm sells. They say little about whether it knows your industry.

Big numbers

Project counts and certified expert totals do not tell you who will work on your project. Ask to meet them.

Unverified claims

Anyone can write partner on a website. Odoo's directory at odoo.com/partners shows real status, references and certified people.

Odoo Partner Tiers at a Glance

US counts come from Odoo's partner directory in October 2026 and change over time. Odoo does not use a Platinum tier, so treat that claim with care.

TierUS partners listedWhat to check
Gold8References in your industry and who staffs your project
Silver25Project sizes and certified people on recent versions
Ready236Recent references, since this is the entry tier

Questions to Ask Any Odoo Firm

  • Who exactly will work on our project?
  • Can we speak to a client in our industry?
  • What do you try before writing custom code?
  • How do you handle upgrades of custom modules?
  • Is data migration included, and how much history?
  • What happens after go-live, and at what cost?
  • Who owns the custom code you write?
  • Can we see a sample project plan?

A Simple Way to Compare

  1. Write your scope

List the processes and integrations you need, so every firm quotes the same thing.

  2. Verify status

Check each claim in Odoo's official directory.

  3. Call references

Ask what went wrong, not just what went right.

  4. Compare exclusions

The cheapest quote often leaves out migration, training or support.
